Dr. Ross' area of expertise is biodegradation of environmental pollutants. While at IPFW, she has focused her research on issues relevant to northern Indiana, including biodegradation of phenols by sulfate-reducing bacteria and bioremediation of sediments and soils contaminated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. She teaches courses in introductory biology (BIO 100 and BIO 119), general microbiology (BIO 437) and fate of chemicals in the environment (BIO 579).
