Mary Nance is a member of the NEI-AHEC K12 Outreach Coordination Team. She is also a part-time Program Assistant with the IPFW Behavioral Health and Family Studies Institute. Additionally, Mary is Behavioral Health Technician for Park Center, Inc. working with adjudicated youth in a secure residential setting. Formerly, she served as the Project Assistant/Liaison for the Indiana CARES Youth Suicide Project SAMSHA grant coordinating the statewide mini-grant program for youth suicide prevention. She has over 15 years experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of mental health settings.
Mary received her Bachelor’s of Science in General Studies from Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne. She is certified as a QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Instructor and CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention). Mary has also attended and completed the following trainings: ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), safeTALK (Suicide Awareness For Everyone Tell Ask Listen Keepsafe), and CONNECT a training program to interlink community organizations engaged in the suicide prevention within their community.
