The ADHA is the largest national organization representing the professional interests of the more than 120,000 registered dental hygienists (RDHs) in the United States. To improve the public’s total health, the mission of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association is to advance the art and science of dental hygiene by increasing the awareness of and ensuring access to high quality, cost effective oral health care; promoting the highest standards of dental hygiene education, licensure, practice and research; and representing and promoting the interests of dental hygienists.

Student American Dental Hygienists' Association (SADHA)
The student member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, or SADHA, is a category of membership within the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. ADHA is an association dedicated to the advancement and promotion of dental hygiene. ADHA is the association of your profession.

As a student member of the ADHA, you are provided with invaluable opportunities to preview your career as a dental hygienist. Your affiliation with ADHA will help secure the success of your future in dental hygiene.

While at IPFW, you will have an opportunity to become a member at a student rate, receive professional journals, become eligible for dental hygiene scholarships, and attend meetings and conventions with licensed dental hygienists.


National Dental Hygienists' Association (NDHA)
The National Dental Hygienists’ Association is an organization for licensed dental hygienists and student dental hygienists who have graduated from or are enrolled in an accredited dental hygiene program. NDHA represents the professional interests of under-represented minority Dental Hygienists in the United States.

Dental hygienists are licensed oral health care professionals responsible for the provision of clinical, educational, research, administrative and therapeutic services to the public. Their services support total health and contribute to optimal oral health.
