Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management

Florida Resort Work/Study Spring Semester

Working in collaboration with Gasparilla Inn Beach Club in Boca Grande, Florida,  our department has developed a program that will allow Hospitality Management Majors to experience and learn important aspects of the hospitality industry at the resort in Florida.

Students will have the opportunity to follow four IPFW credit-bearing courses in the resort, taught by specialized faculty, while experiencing hands-on learning and work experience.

The courses offered on the resort will allow students to interact and participate in the resort activities in such a way to enhance their learning experience. Accommodations and meals are provided for the students on location, for a reasonable weekly charge.  There is no need to have a vehicle for commuting to the resort (students live on-site), but students do need to make their own arrangements to travel to Florida at the beginning and end of the semester.
