Results from the Fall 2011 NCATE Accreditation Visit:
The Unit Accreditation Board of the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) has decided to continue the accreditation of the Education Departments at Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) for two years, at both the initial teacher preparation and advanced teacher preparation levels. The decision to continue the accreditation requires that the IPFW Education Departments host a visit, no later than Fall 2013, solely focused on Standard 2, which was found unmet by the Unit Accreditation Board. Following the visit, the actions that may be rendered by the Unit Accreditation Board include continuing accreditation or revocation of accreditation.
