The Special Education Certification Program in Mild Intervention at IPFW is for teachers who have a teaching license. Graduates of the program are eligible to apply for the Mild Intervention License through the State of Indiana which includes Learning Disabilities, Mild and Moderate Intellectual Disabilities, and Emotional Disorders.
The IPFW Special Education program includes best practices, field experience, small class and faculty with k-12 experience and all classes are offered late afternoon, evening or online.
Two options to obtain an Indiana Mild Intervention License
|Graduate Certification Program||1. Satisfactorily complete 24 credit hours of graduate courses in special education.|
|Master of Science in Education with a Major in Special Education||1. Admission to Special Education masters program
2. Satisfactorily complete 36 credit hours of graduate courses in special education and research methods.
