Welcome to the Elementary Education program at IPFW. We have been educating and preparing elementary teachers since 1967. You will be joining this proud group of well prepared educators. Your degree will make you eligible to be licensed by the State of Indiana to teach grades K-6 or preschool - Grade 6. There are three program options.  Contact us, we would like to meet you.

Early Childhood and Elementary Education
(Dual License-Grades Pre School-Grade 6
Number of Credit Hours 120 126
Number of Semesters 8 semesters (4 years), 10 semesters (5 years) if adding special education 8 semesters (4 years) + at least one summer
Student Teaching Required Yes Yes
Must Pass Pearson exam for admission to program Yes Yes
