College of Education and Public Policy

Do you want to work with children and youth but not in a traditional classroom?  Do you want to advocate for children and youth by impacting policy?  Then our Education Policy program is for you.  This program allows you to take course work and internships in nontraditional educational settings. In addition, this option does not require you to student teach or pass state licensing exams.  Students completing this degree will be prepared to work in diverse areas including education lobbying, directing after school programs, or working in informal education organizations like Science Central, the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, and the Fort Wayne Urban League.  If you are interested, we encourage you to speak with an advisor.
