Doermer Distinguished Scholar

Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) is pleased to announce the 2013–14 Doermer Distinguished Scholar. To be eligible for this award, the student must first be a recipient of a Chancellor’s Distinguished Scholarship and then must take part in the Summit Scholars competition, which was held in February.

The recipient of the Doermer Distinguished Scholar award must major in business and will be paired with a faculty mentor and a mentor in the business community. They will also be invited to attend Business Advisory Council and Alumni Council meetings and other events, allowing them the opportunity to network with leaders in the business community. 

The Doermer Distinguished Scholar for 2013–14 is:
Damon Gerber, Doermer Distinguished Scholar, 2013-14
Damon Gerber, of Bluffton, Ind., is a senior at Norwell High School. He plans to major in accounting. Damon’s high school honors and activities include National Honor Society, Student Council, Wells County Foundation Award recipient, Campus Life, and volunteer work at various agencies in Bluffton and Fort Wayne.
