Every year, the students in the D490 International Studies class in the Doermer School of Business and Management Sciences expand their horizons, literally and figuratively, when they cross international borders to see how business is done outside the United States. Sometimes the class goes to China, other times to Mexico, or France. The class is limited to ten students, who must apply for and be accepted into the program.
Students who took the class and have since graduated from IPFW held a class reunion of sorts to honor the current students in the program, donors, faculty, and especially, the two businessmen who made the trips in that class possible, Ian Rolland and Bill Lawson. The event was Saturday, April 11, at 6 p.m. in the lobby of the John and Ruth Rhinehart Music Center on the IPFW campus. A special program in which Rolland and Lawson were recognized, began at 7 p.m.
The event was sponsored by alumni of the D490 program, the Doermer School of Business, and the IPFW Alumni Association.
