The next meeting is the year-end meeting starting at 6:00 PM at Walb Union 114-116 on Thursday, December 03.
The guest speaker is Amy Crouch, the controller at Lutherans Fort Wayne Orthopedic Hospital. Amy is an IPFW graduate and former President of the Accounting Society.
The second part of the meeting is officer elections. There are three open positions for Spring Semester 2010 including Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. The elected VP will automatically become the President in the following semester. Besides the networking benefit, you will gain a tremendous amount of skills and experience in leadership, organization and teamwork as an officer; and especially you will be able to enjoy a more closeup campus experience. To run for VP, you must be a current Accounting Society member and have completed BUS A311 by the end of this semester; to run for Treasurer or Secretary, you must be a current Accounting Society member and have completed BUS A202 by the end of this semester. Even if you are not interested in running for any of the positions, please consider coming to the event to listen to our speaker and to vote and support our candidates. Please note: only current Accounting Society members can vote in the election (to see if you are a current member, go to http://www.student.ipfw.edu/~as/currentroster.htm).
We will also announce the contribution from our members for the family in need by the end of this meeting.
