Welcome to IPFW’s Department of Economics. The Department of Economics is unique in that it services the needs of students who are fulfilling the requirements for an economics major through the B. S. degree offered through the Richard T. Doermer School of Business as well as those fulfilling the requirements for an economics major in the B. A. degree offered through the College of Arts and Sciences. In addition to the degree programs in economics, the department meets the needs of students in a wide variety of majors with an interest in learning about the economy and decision-making.
IPFW’s Department of Economics has a dedicated group of six faculty members who hold earned doctorates from top quality universities located throughout the United States. The faculty are accomplished researchers who are very dedicated and effective in imparting their knowledge of economics to all of our students. They teach courses at all levels and their areas of expertise cover a wide range of economic topics. Our faculty believes that economics is one of the most exciting, contemporary, and relevant disciplines hosted at not only IPFW but anywhere throughout the world.
The Economics faculty look forward to helping make economics "come alive" for our students and to equip them to be successful in both their personal and professional lives.
