Robert F. Palevich received the Doermer School of Business (DSB) Distinguished Alumni Award for 2003. Criteria for the award include having a degree from DSB, assuming a position of increasing responsibility, and contributing time and talent to IPFW.
Palevich started his professional career as a systems analyst and project leader at the Do It Best Corp. in 1971. He quickly moved up the ladder holding positions of increasing responsibility in inventory control and logistics and retired as the global director of supply chain and e-business in 2003. Since his "retirement," Palevich has joined DSBMS as an advisor in the MBA program.
In recognition of his many contributions, Palevich was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from Purdue University in 2001. He was also invited to serve as the first Executive Professor in DSB in 2001.
Palevich received a Bachelor of Science in industrial supervision from Purdue University and an M.S.B.A. and MBA from Indiana University (IPFW). He has served as president of the Fort Wayne Toastmasters chapter and been actively involved in professional associations like American Hardware Manufacturers Association and American Production and Inventory Control Society.
