Katherine A. Carrier received the Doermer School of Business (DSB) Distinguished Alumni Award for 2008. Criteria for the award include having a degree from DSB, assuming a position of increasing responsibility, and contributing time and talent to IPFW.
Kathy is the President and CEO of Briljent. Briljent quick facts include:

Kathy started Briljent in 1998 to provide training services to corporations. In 2001, the company branched into government work in an effort to secure long-term contracts and provide predictable cash flow. Today, Briljent completes 50 or more contracts with state governments, as both a prime and a subcontractor.
“To whom much is given, much is required.” Each and every day, Kathy is focused on serving others through the Briljent Blessings program, an employee Dream Program and a general obsession with helping others. Kathy also is an Executive Committee and Board member of the Indiana Chamber, an organization that lobbies for pro-business legislation.
Kathy and her husband of 27 years have four zany children including a son who is an Army Special Forces soldier.
