Scheduling Appointments
(The clinic is open September through April.)
The primary reason for the existence of the IPFW Dental Hygiene Clinic is to provide supervised and educational experiences for our dental hygiene and dental assisting students. All dental procedures are provided by the students and are carefully evaluated by licensed dental professionals.
Due to the checks and balances needed to assure quality service in a teaching clinic, appointments will proceed slowly and will last up to 4 hours. However, the extra time needed to complete dental appointments in an educational setting is offset by the reduction in prices for dental services received.
Patients play an integral role in our students' professional education and experiences, therefore, failure to keep scheduled appointments will jeopardize graduation requirements for our students. If you must reschedule an appointment, please give at least 48 hours notice so we can attempt to keep our students on track for graduation.
Please call 260-481-6575 to schedule an appointment at the IPFW Dental Hygiene Clinic. Appointments are required.
The dental hygiene student is responsible for finding and scheduling all the patients needed to meet the minimum requirements for graduation, as well as finding a board patient for the NERB clinical examination.
