Sheila Cuffy
is a recipient of
Continuing Studies
Faculty Star Award 2008
She is being recognized for her commitment to providing her students with the best learning experience. Ms. Cuffy, IPFW alumna, has been successfully teaching communication courses for Continuing Studies by providing highly interactive and interesting courses for her students.
All Continuing Studies students were given the opportunity to nominate faculty members for this recognition. Some students took the time to write about their appreciation to Ms. Cuffy for making a positive impact on their education. These are some of their comments:
“I feel that Sheila Cuffy "ran" this course online extremely well. This is one of the best courses I have taken in my collegiate career. I feel she set this course up in a way that lead to a great array of learning--from our text and from each other.”
“She taught a very interesting course that was really good and would not be as good in a classroom setting. The book was easy to understand and had a lot of information that had to do with everyday life. Sheila was very involved on line and I did not expect to have that such as commenting back about the forums and giving us online tests and questions that were due each and every unit of the book. I really enjoyed this online class taught by her and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to take a Com 400 class.”
