WEST LAFAYETTE  REPORT

Louise Misegades.  Louise reported that at the last regional meeting, it was determined approximately 24 people are planning to attend the regional meeting in June that is to be held at IPFW.  Also discussed was the implementation of payroll deductions coming with OnePurdue.  Louise brought back a copy of the CSSAC employee and dependent grant application that is used at West Lafayette, and she has asked for a copy of their guidelines.  A power point presentation was shown on employee self service by Deb Dillman-Crowell from the OnePurdue initiative and ways in which all employees would have access to it were discussed.  John Beelke from Human Resource Services is looking for a new software vendor for the employment application process. There will be no new changes in the options for the healthcare plan for this fall due to OnePurdue.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Diversity Council.  Kelly Klinker mentioned the April 25 diversity event “Year of Achievement Celebration” with Dr. Edna Neal as keynote speaker.  Susan Lehman will contact the Diversity Council to let them know that Kelly is now on their committee and would like to be contacted for information on meetings, etc.

Grant Committee.  Susan Humphrey is putting together information to present in the near future.

Fundraising Committee.  Christina Rockwell reminded members that the 27th is the last day to turn in money for the candle sale.

BRIDGE QUESTION

Q:        There is a rumor that staff will be receiving paid time off (PTO) instead of vacation and sick days.  Is this true?  How many days are being proposed?  Will this start with OnePurdue?

A:        Although Purdue had a group look at paid time off (PTO) last year, there are no plans to implement PTO at this time.
