Northeast Indiana Surveillance program is comprised of the following counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, Lagrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, and Whitley.| The above distribution reflects the diseases in the 12 county region. Age distribution was not obtained for Allen County, but the following is known: | ||||||
| Chlamydia: | 80.8 percent of the cases in 2006 were in Allen County. This is an Allen County rate of 513.1 per 100,000 population and represents a 1.5 percent increase from 2005. | |||||
| Gonorrhea: | 91.2 percent of the cases in 2006 were in Allen County. This is an Allen County rate of 213.1 per 100,000 population and represents a 3.4 percent increase from 2005. | |||||
| HIV: | 71.0 percent of HIV cases were from Allen County. This is a 6.4 rate per 100,000 population. | |||||

Link to 2007 INDIANA YOUTH RISK BEHAVIOR SURVEY
Indiana State Department of Health administers this survey in high schools in Indiana. In 2007, 44 high schools and 2,331 students participated. This survey is part of a national effort by the CDC to monitor health risks and behaviors. Data reported on risky behavior such as binge drinking, smoking, weapon carrying, overweight, suicide.
IMMUNIZATION DATA:
The Indiana State Department of Health provides information by school corporation for immunization statistics. The Allen County School Districts report for 2002 is available at the Indiana Department of Health.
