Information on Deadlines
Applying for Graduation
The biggest deadline is applying for graduation! Deadlines for applying online for 2010 are November 1 (2009) for May grads; February 1 (2010) for summer grads. If you haven't already applied online, do so now and contact your academic department. This is the only way to assure your name is on the graduation list.
Caps and Gowns
You can purchase your cap and gown March 1 through April 16 at the IPFW Bookstore, ground floor, Kettler Hall. The bookstore is offering a 10% discount for gowns purchased March 1-19.
Everyone participating in the ceremony must go to the bookstore to fill out the appropriate forms and receive instruction sheets for commencement.
Name changes
Diplomas are ordered for May grads on March 5. Changes for program copy only can be made until April 16.
Your name will appear on your diploma and in the commencement program copy the way you are admitted to the university. If you need to check to see how your name will appear, you may email betza@ipfw.edu. Be sure to include your student ID number and your degree information in your email. Changes in your name must be done in person in the registrar's office in Kettler Hall, Room 107. A photo ID is required.
