Silent Auction
The IPFW Child Care Center sponsors one annual fund raising event. The online Silent Auction has become a big hit for IPFW and Fort Wayne friends of the Child Care Center. Proceeds benefit the IPFW Child Care Center and the Center for Women and Returning Adults “Angel Fund” which assists students in financial distress.
Each year our Silent Auction committee secures many donations of services and gifts. Each item is categorized and photographed for presentation in the online listing. For eight days, usually in April, bidders can place bids and watch the bidding increase. Many items have a “Buy-it-now” price for those who prefer to make a one-time purchase.
Over the ten years of the auction, from $2000-$7500 has been raised annually. These funds have been used for:
- Playground equipment
- Classroom furnishings
- Toys and games
- Professional development
- Financial assistance to students
Ways you can help:
- Volunteer to assist on the Planning Committee.
- Donate a gift, service, or gift card.
- Watch for the auction dates and spread the word to friends and families.
