Dinner Series

Fall 2010 IPFW Dinner Series

Presented by: IPFW’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Program

In cooperation with the tourism businesses of Fort Wayne and greater Northeast Indiana, IPFW is planning a number of events this fall. Under the guidance of Dr. John B. Knight, Professor of Hospitality Management at IPFW, the events will be served to the dining public offering good value for the dollar, excellent cuisine, and entertainment at some events. Students in the class will be responsible for designing the menus, preparing the meals, and serving at the events. The IPFW Dinner Series Toast will begin each meal promptly at the time noted here.

The finalized dates and operations involved are:

1. Rhinestone Cowboy

Wednesday, 10/6/10, 6:30 p.m., $15 per person – The Eagle's Nest Event Center presents a "Rhinestone Cowboy." Come join us for an evening full of Western food and music! Please contact Continuing Studies at 260-481-6619 for tickets.

2. Jimmy Buffett Night

Wednesday, 10/13/10, 6:30 p.m., $20 per person-Parkview Field presents "Jimmy Buffett Night…" at Parkview Field in Fort Wayne. Come join us for a night of relaxation with corn hole, Jimmy Buffett music, the finest tropical dishes, and tours of the Tin Caps Stadium! A cash bar will be available. 3. Masquerade

Wednesday, 10/27/10, 6:30 p.m., $25 per person "Masquerade" at the Marriott in Fort Wayne. Come join us for a night of great food, music, and costume contests. A cash bar will be available. Contact Continuing Studies for ticket information at 260-481-6619.

4. Thanks for the Memories

5. An Evening at Sycamore Hills

7. A Night on the Rails

8. A Sugar Plum Evening

Wednesday, 12/08/10, 6:30 p.m., $15 per person-Celebrate "A Sugar Plum Evening" at Homestead High School with an unforgettable night of food, music, and fellowship. Entertainment provided by Homestead's own choir and a mouth watering menu prepared by the Homestead Hospitality Club and IPFW students.
