Dr. Cochran established the Production System Design Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT. He is the two-time recipient of the Shingo Prize for Manufacturing Excellence for his work about the design, implementation, and leadership principles present in the Toyota Production System.

He earned his Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Auburn University and Master of Science in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from Penn State University.

Mr. Barnes has worked as a part of industry in NE Indiana for over a decade as a Systems Engineer and Electrical Design Engineer. His systems engineering emphasis is in modeling and simulation.

He earned his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and Master of Science in Mathematics from IPFW.

Ms. Oxtoby’s career has spanned over fifteen years and includes experience in multiple industries - education, energy, financial, and manufacturing.  Her interests include enterprise transformation focused on process improvement, leadership and organizational development.

She earned her Master of Science degree in Labor Relations & Human Resources from Michigan State University and earned her Black Belt in Six Sigma from Purdue University (Project completion expected July 2017).
