Gail A. Rathbun, Director
Dr. Rathbun joined CELT in July 2004 after 4 years at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco. There she helped develop and teach the curriculum for the newly founded Center for Academic Development, and conducted teacher training for AUI and Moulay Ismail University in Meknes. She taught graduate level instructional design and development courses at San Jose State University and at Indiana University, Bloomington, where she also worked for 7 years as an instructional technology consultant. Her name can be found in the graphics credits of the computer games Prince of Persia (Broderbund), California Games (Epyx), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (Disney), and the Carmen San Diego series by Broderbund.

Samantha Birk (Sam), Associate Director for Instructional Technologies
Sam holds a BA from the University of Northern Colorado in and a MFA/MA in art and art history from Ohio University. Her areas of expertise are non-western cultures with special emphasis on African, Native American and Pre-Columbian art. She has developed and taught art history courses for Marietta College (Ohio) and IPFW, and has taught in Rome, Italy and at Mesa Verde (Colorado), as well as an on-line art appreciation course. She was the first associate faculty member to earn honors faculty status at IPFW and was honored as Associate Faculty of the year in 2000. Besides her career in the academy, she worked in the museum field for 13 years, including holding the position of Curator of Education with the Fort Wayne Museum of Art for 11 years. She has been full-time with CELT since 1999. |

Darlene Miller, Instructional Technologist
Darlene Miller holds an AFA, in Painting from the Institute of American Indian Art, Santa Fe, NM and a BFA in Computer Art, and in Fine Art Painting, from Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne. She earned her Masters in Computer Art/ 3D Animation from The Savannah College of Art and Design, School of Film and Digital Media, Savannah, GA. Darlene works in multimedia computer applications, digital video and 3D Animation. She has taught Computer Art and Design classes in the Visual Communications and Design Department at IPFW, and is currently teaching Color Theory for the Interior Design Program. |

Moon-Heum Cho, Instructional Consultant/Designer
Dr. Cho joined CELT in February 2008 after his graduation from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has a broad background in both instructional design and teaching. He has worked with faculty to redesign courses and develop curriculum in a variety of disciplines, including biology, engineering, technology, health, and education. Also, he has taught graduate level courses in digital communications, using technology to enhance learning, and learning with the internet. He has co-authored journal articles in publications including The Internet & Higher Education, Lecture Notes in Computer Science, and the Journal of Interactive Learning Environments. He has also co-authored a book chapter and has presented at numerous national and international conferences, most recently in New York at the American Educational Research Association annual meeting. |

John Ladd, Studio M Coordinator
John joined the team during the construction of Studio M in October of 2006. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Art and Design from IPFW. John specializes in working in 3D animation, digital video and interactive multimedia. When not at work, you can find John creating custiom stereoscopes for displaying digital 3D environments. |

Stephanie Haneline, Secretary
Stephanie came to CELT in January 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Photography from Purdue University and over ten years combined experience in the both the photographic and printing industries. While in West Lafayette, she was employed by one of the largest portrait studios in the state. She has photographed high school seniors from over 25 Indiana high schools, as well as a multitude of sporting events, weddings, families and children. She also worked as a customer service representative prior to joining the IPFW family. Stephanie is the wife of Dennis Haneline, who has taught as an Associate Faculty for Mathematical Sciences here at IPFW. |
