Writing Center Mission

The mission of the IPFW Writing Center is to help writers learn to use language more effectively, produce clear writing appropriate to their purposes and audiences, and develop positive attitudes about writing and about themselves as writers.

Our motto: Every writer needs a reader.

How the Writing Center achieves its mission:
Staffed by experienced writing consultants trained to help others with their writing, the Writing Center provides opportunities for students to talk about and work on their writing for any of their classes. Faculty and staff are encouraged to bring in their assignment sheets and writing projects. Below are brief descriptions of Writing Center resources and services. For detailed information about the assistance you can receive and our other services, click on the links to the right.
