New Students: Reading Placement Information

Overview

The Center for Academic Support & Advancement (CASA) provides an array of support services for promoting students' academic success. Course-specific tutoring and computer-based tutorials help to develop understanding and proficiency while building confidence. With CASA, underprepared students can prepare, prepared students can advance, and advanced students can excel.

The CASA learning model pairs students who have demonstrated success in courses with those who are interested in receiving additional support in order to achieve a proven, student-directed learning environment. Interactive and multimedia tutorials are available for developing core competencies in math, reading, English and vocabulary.

CASA is supported by student tuition; services are provided at no additional cost to IPFW students who are currently enrolled.

Location

The Center for Academic Support & Advancement is located in Kettler Hall, G23, on the IPFW campus.
