These Web sites provide important information about cities, states, and even other countries. Cost-of-living calculators assist you in determining what your standard of living would be in a new city with a given salary rate. Many sites provide you with information about community resources in other geographic areas.

  • A terrific resource for locating prospective employers. Enter name of company, city and/or state and you'll get not only an address and phone number, but a detailed street map that allows you to zoom in and zoom out.

  • Internet Real Estate Directory

  • Provides links to Real Estate agencies found by US, state and around the world.

  • Minneapolis/St. Paul Relocation Assistance Program

  • This University of Minnesota program provides a look at area neighborhoods, childcare, employment for the trailing spouse, plus more for those relocating to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

  • Relocation Property Services

  • A nationwide relocation resource.

  • Relocation Information from MonsterTrak

  • A very useful site with a number of online moving tools.

  • RentNet

  • An online national database which currently includes furnished and unfurnished apartments in 20 states and is growing. Database is searchable by city/area, apartment size and price. Some listings provides pictures.

  • USA CityLink Project

  • Comprehensive listing of World Wide Web pages featuring US states and cities.

  • Virtual Relocation

  • A moving and relocation guide.

  • Virtual Tourist

  • Provides geographical, tourism, and cultural information for regions around the world. Uses a graphic of a map to locate regions.
