Career Counselor/JLD Administrator
As a Career Counselor and the JLD Administrator, Christina is responsible for the following:
- Assists students in obtaining off-campus part-time, temporary or seasonal employment and provides general career counseling for students and alumni
- Co-teaches EDUC x210 career planning class and coordinates the Summer Job and Internship Fair
- Acts as the primary contact for collaboration with IPFW faculty in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science
- Collaborates with diverse groups on campus, including the Center for Women and Returning Adults and the Office ofDiversity and Multicultural Affairs
- Conducts employer visits and attends community networking events in order to build relationships with local recruiters
Christina became part of Career Services in 2007. She received a Master of Education degree with a concentration in College Student Affairs and a Graduate Certificate in Career Counseling from University of South Florida. She also received a Bachelor of Arts in English from University of South Florida. Christina is also qualified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, Strong Interest Inventory , FOCUS and Self-Directed Search.
