Playwriting: Write Your Own Story for the Stage (Grades 6-12)

Have your ever thought of the perfect thing to say but the moment already had passed? Do experiences in your life sometimes feel like they should be on a stage? Here is your chance to capture your ideas onto the page and watch them as they are performed on stage! In this class you will learn the basics of playwriting. Topics covered will include play structure, story and character development, plot, dialogue and much more. And don't worry about writer's block; lots of playwriting prompts will be provided to get your imagination rolling and your words flowing! At the end of the week, your work will be acted out by fellow CAA theatre students. This class is led by IPFW graduate Gloria Minnich, a local actress and professional acting instructor.

Grades 6-12: Monday-Friday, July 22-26, 1-2pm (until 4pm Friday)   Click here to register or call 260-481-6059.
