This three-session course will introduce students to the basic practices of relief and monotype printmaking. Students will learn how to execute a multiple color linoleum relief print, before moving on to creating a rich one-color monotype print. Besides learning printmaking techniques, this course will teach students about how to compose using line, marks, value and how to work from dark-to-light, rather than light-to-dark. All supplies provided. Class will be taught by IPFW department of fine arts associate professor Christopher Ganz.
