Program Mission and Goals
The faculty of the Richard T. Doermer School of Business and Management Sciences believe that quality in product and services, competitiveness in the global marketplace, and professionalism are critical to business success. As a result, the undergraduate business curriculum is designed around the principles of competitiveness, quality and professionalism. Faculty members are dedicated to the development of business professionals who have the knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to their organizations and community.
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Business (B.S.B.) curriculum, you should be:
- able to integrate fundamental principles of business theory and practice,
- able to solve problems by modeling, analyzing data (qualitative and numeric), and using critical thinking skills,
- able to understand the global and cultural implications of business decisions,
- able to understand ethical considerations in business decisions,
- able to understand the relationship between the community and business,
- able to demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills, and
- prepared for life-long learning in a dynamic environment
