#8 Northridge Powers Past IPFW

Fort Wayne, IN- The hard hitting Matadors of Cal. State Northridge used a 24 kill performance from Nils Nielsen to stop IPFW 3-1 on Friday night at the Hilliard Gates Sports Center.

The Matadors won the match by the scores of 30-21, 27-30, 30-17, and 30-26.

Along with Nielsen, Northridge got double-figure kill nights from Brian White (18), Cary Hanson (12), and James Lischer (10).

IPFW was led by senior opposite Matt Zbyszewski with a game-high tying 24 kills of his own. He was the only Mastodon in double figures.

The same two teams square off on Saturday night (3/26) at the Gates Center. Match time is 7pm.
