State
College,
PA-
For the third time this season, the IPFW men's volleyball team
faced #4 Penn State. Unfortunately for the 'Dons, the
outcome has been the same. The Nittany Lions swept IPFW 3-0,
on Saturday night in State College, Pennsylvania.
Penn State,
who won their 17th match of the season, topped IPFW by the
scores of 30-22, 30-24, and 30-24.
The Nittany
Lions made the most of their swings tonight, posting a team
hitting percentage of .411. IPFW hit only .277, and for one
of the few times this season, the Mastodons were out-blocked
13.6 to 6.0.
Senior opposite
hitter Matt Zbyszewski led all players with 21 kills in the
match.
Matt Proper
led PSU with 14 kills.
The 'Dons
are back at the .500 mark for the season at 8-8. They return
to action this weekend, taking part in the Long Beach State
"Active Ankle Beach Bash". IPFW faces UC Santa Barbara on Friday
night (3/18) and host Long Beach State on Saturday (3/19).
