Erie, PA- Mercyhurst College's all-time record against IPFW is 0-19. Win number twenty was no walk in the park for the Mastodons on Friday night, at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.

The Mastodons got 32 kills from senior opposite hitter Matt Zbyszewski to survive a huge scare from the Lakers, 3-2.

The Mastodons won the match by the scores of 28-30, 31-29, 30-27, 25-30, and 17-15.

The hot hitting Lakers (.344) featured four players in double-figure kills, with outside hitter Dave Schmidl leading the way with 29 kills.
