Leads Cardinals to MIVA Win

Sophomore outside hitter Nick Meyer put down a game-high 28 kills
as Ball State topped IPFW, 3-1, on Friday night at Worthen Arena.
The Cardinals
stopped IPFW by the scores of 30-25, 30-19, 21-30, and 30-19.
Ball State
(7-7, 2-3 MIVA) cruised in games one and two, but IPFW looked
like they were ready to dig in and make it a match, hitting .474
to Ball State's -.056 in game four. IPFW (6-6, 4-3 MIVA) took
the third easily but couldn't sustain the momentum in the fourth.
Senior outside
hitter Matt Zbyszewski led the 'Dons with 15 kills and eight digs.
Sophomore left side hitter Josh Collins was the only other Mastodon
in double-digits with 11 kills.
IPFW out-blocked
the Cardinals in the match 14.0 to 7.5 with juniors Serdar Sicka
and Mike Diaga each recording seven block assists.
IPFW is now
off until March 4th, when the travel to Ohio State to take on
the Buckeyes, in a 7pm conference match.
