PSU Sweeps IPFW at Golden Dome

Newark, NJ - #5 Penn State topped IPFW in straight sets, in the opening round of the Rutgers-Newark Golden Dome Classic, Friday night in Newark, New Jersey.

The Nittany Lions rolled by the scores of 30-28, 30-26, and 30-22.

Three Lions hit for double-figure kills in the match, led by Jeff Proper with seventeen.

Senior outside hitter Matt Zbyszewski led IPFW with 12 kills and 10 digs.

IPFW is now 0-2 vs. the Nittany Lions this season. PSU beat the Mastodons (5-5)
3-1 back in January at the Gates Center.

IPFW will face host Rutgers-Newark tomorrow night at 7pm. The Scarlet Raiders swept Ohio State in their first match of the Classic tonight.
