Roll in Five
Fort
Wayne, IN -
IPFW held a 2-1 lead in Friday night's MIVA match against Loyola
University-Chicago, but it was the Ramblers who put the pedal
to the metal, topping the 'Dons in five, 3-2.
Loyola (8-1,
2-0 MIVA) won by the scores of 26-30, 30-22, 28-30, 30-27,
and 15-11.
The Ramblers
had five players hit for double-figure kills, with Chris Kozlarek
leading LUC with 25 kills. Scott Greene registered a double-double
with 24 kills and 16 digs.
For the Mastodons,
who fall to an even 4-4 (3-2 MIVA), senior outside hitters
Matt Zbyszewski (26 kills) and Mitch Dreisbach (14 kills) were
the
only players
to hit in double figures. Dreisbach did the double with 11 digs.
Junior setter
Mike Randolph had 51 assists and 14 digs for his double-play.
Loyola out-hit
IPFW .311 to .280 in the match, which negated a tremendous
blocking night for the 'Dons. Junior middle Serdar Sikca had
seven block assists, freshman Josh Stewart had six, freshman
