Zbyszewski Tabbed as MIVA POW

Columbus, OH- Matt Zbyszewski, a 6-5 senior outside hitter for IPFW, has been named the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Player of the Week.

In a 3-2 (30-26, 22-30,30-17, 31-33, 15-11) loss at ninth-ranked Loyola,
Zbyszewski posted a career-high 36 kills against the Ramblers while hitting .291. He added 14 digs, two block assists, two ace serves and three assists in the match.

At Clarke the next night in a 3-0 (30-23, 30-25, 30-21) victory, Zbyszewski had a match-high 12 kills while hitting .310. He recorded six ace serves, 10 digs, a solo block and four assist blocks and two assists against the Crusaders.

In the two matches, Zbyszewski averaged 6.63 points per game and averaged 6.00 kills per game with 48 kills while hitting .296. He averaged 1 ace, three
digs and .88 blocks per game on the weekend.

This is the second MIVA Player of the Week honor for the 2004 MIVA Player of the Year.
