Mastodons Drop Quincy in Three

Fort Wayne, IN- Behind an 18 point performance from outside hitter Matt Zbyszewski, the IPFW Volleydons swept through Quincy University, Friday night at the Gates Center, 3-0.

The Mastodons won by the scores of 30-21, 30-24, and 30-23, to improve to 8-2 on the season, and 6-1 in MIVA play.

Zbyszewski had 15 kills, six digs, and four block assists.

Mitch Dreisbach was one kill shy of double-figures with nine, and he hit .412.

The MIVA’s #1 blocking team roofed 15 total on the night, with Serdar Sikca equaling Zbyszewski’s total of four.

Quincy (5-6, 2-2) was led by the strong arm of Nathan Boyd, who put down a match-high 19 kills. He finished with 21.5 points.

IPFW will host Loyola-Chicago on Saturday night at the Gates Center. Match time is 7pm.
