Volleydons Sign Middle

Fort Wayne, IN-IPFW head men’s volleyball coach Arnie Ball has announced the signing of Joshua Stewart to the Volleydon’s program.

Stewart is a 6’8” middle hitter from St. Mary’s, Ontario, Canada. He will graduate from St. Mary’s District Collegiate and Vocational Institute in June.

As a member of the St. Mary’s D.C.V.I team, he was captain for two years, and was part of a team that won the Western Ontario Regional Championship in 2002 and 2003.

“Josh will be a great addition to the middle position on this team for the next four years,” coach Ball said.

Stewart will join a blocking unit that led the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association in 2004.

The Mastodons finished the 2004 season with an overall 14-11 record, going 12-4 in conference.
