2003 Season
While starting in 22 of 25 matches as the Mastodon setter, Santiago
recorded a total of 1022 assists and team-high 156 digs.
He is now fifth in the all-time career assist record at IPFW.
Santiago broke the match service aces record against Mercyhurst
(Feb. 21) where he tallied up nine aces.
2002 Season
In his freshman year, Santiago started in all 24 matches to earn
his first letter. He was named MIVA Freshman of the Year. He
racked up 992 assist which put him seventh in the all-time career
record at IPFW. Santiago dug up a career-high 15 digs against
Long Beach State (Jan. 11). On March 29, he roofed a career best
nine block in a win over Clarke College.
High School
While participating in both the 17 and 18 age levels, Santiago
was named All American at the Junior Olympics. He was also selected
as the MVP his senior year on his high school team.
Personal
Dennis is the son of Dennis Santiago and Crucita Morales. He
has two
sisters,
Heidi and Angelica.
