2005
Season
Collins appeared in 27 of the Mastodons’ 30 matches in
2005. He averaged 1.58 kills per game. He also averaged
1.04 digs per game. Collins also fired nine service aces,
bettering his career mark of six. Hit a season-high .450
at Ball State on 2/25. In that same match, he had 11 kills,
also a season-high. Dug up seven balls against Quincy on
4/8 and had a season-high four block assists at Mercyhurst
on 3/11.
2004 Season
Collins started 12 of his 25 matches. He recorded 139 kills,
averaging 1.96 per game. Collins had 85 digs, two block solos,
26 block assists. Put down a career-high 20 balls against Ohio State on April 10.
High School
While at North Hastings High School, Collins was the MVP of
the men's volleyball team and the badminton team.
Personal
Collins is the son of Lyle and Barb Collins and has one brother,
Jared.
