Ivy
League Makes for Tough Competition

Cornell University proved to be tough competition Saturday night during the final
match of the IPFW Volleyball Invitational sponsored by
U.S. Cellular. The Mastodons fought hard but the Big
Red proved tougher, winning in four (30-24, 28-30, 28-30,
30-32).
Cynara Martins posted a career best
with her double-double of 24 kills and 24 digs. Nicole
Howell was close behind with 20 kills and 13
digs. Fabiana Souza rounded out the
Dons in double figures with 12 kills.
Erika
Leitzke put up 24 assists and Jessica
Dominiak had 23 assists. Peachy Jankowski dug
up 23 balls.
For Cornell,
Elizabeth Bishop knocked down 22 kills and 15 digs. Kelly
Kramer dug up 20 balls while Amy Gordon handed out 57 assists.
Cornell
took the title foe the Tournament while the Mastodons took
2nd place. Jankowski and Martins were named to the All-Tournament
team.
