IPFW Takes Win #20 in Final Home Match

Fort Wayne, IN - The IPFW Mastodons put win 20 in the book after defeating Oakland on Saturday night for the seniors' final home match. IPFW defeated the Grizzlies in three games, 30-13, 30-26, 30-19.

It was the final home match for seniors Ashlee Roth, Erika Leitzke and Fabiana Souza. Souza made it yet another great night as she hit an impressive .516 with 19 kills, the only Don with double digit kills. She also put up nine digs, a block solo, and two block assists.

Leitzke put up 38 assists, two service aces and six digs in her final home match.

Peachy Jankowski dug up 11 balls for the Dons while Cynara Martins was close behind with 10 digs.

For the Grizzlies, Becca Moller had 24 assists while Adrienne Leone and Lauren Duquette had 12 digs each. Leone also put up seven kills in the game.

The Mastodons are now 20-5 going into the Independent Tournament hosted by Northern Colorado next week. IPFW will play Texas Pan American on Thursday (Nov. 10) and Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Northern Colorado on Friday (Nov. 11). The finals and consolation games are on Saturday (Nov. 12).
