Mastodons Perfect Against Wisconsin-Green Bay

Green Bay, WI-Nothing fancy...just a workmen like performance in the first round of the UWGB Invitational, on Friday night, for the IPFW women's volleyball team. They took care of the host Phoenix in three-straight, 30-26, 30-18, and 30-20.

Not a single Mastodon registered in double-figure kills in the match. Sophomore outside hitter Nicole Howell (Fort Wayne, IN) led the team with seven. Fabiana Souza (Jr/OH/Belo Horizonte, Brazil) was contributed with six kills and 14 digs.

UWGB (0-4) actually held an edge in the kill category (34-27) but registered a -.015 hitting percentage.

With the win, the 'Dons improve to 3-2, and have won two in-a-row. They will wrap up the tournament Saturday, with matches against Temple and North Dakota State.
