Volleyball Runs Winning Streak to Four

Fort Wayne, IN-It wasn’t a thing of beauty, but a win is a win. And, for the IPFW women’s volleyball team their 3-0 win over North Dakota State on Friday night, was their fourth in a row.

The ‘Dons got past the Bison by the scores of 30-28, 30-26, and 30-25.

Neither squad hit particularly well. IPFW slugged .132 while NDSU hit .118.

Junior middle hitter Fabiana Souza was the only Mastodon to hit double digit kills with thirteen.

Senior outside hitters Lindsay Brammer and Janelle Pollard each added eight kills.

Freshman libero Peachy Jankowski led the ‘Dons in digs with eleven.

North Dakota State (5-15) got a match-high 15 kills from sophomore Sheila Parish.

With the win, IPFW moves to 16-8 and will play their final home match of the 2004 season on Saturday afternoon (10/23) at 3pm against Wright State.
