Souza
Named College Volleyball Update National POW
Mastodons Independent Title moves them up one in Regional
Rankings

Wayne, IN- The Collegiate Volleyball Update
(CVU.com) is pleased to announce that IPFW junior Fabiana
Souza has been selected as the CVU.com National Player of the Week
for November 8 through November 14.
A 6-0 middle hitter from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Souza led
the Mastodons to a 5-1 record and the tournament title at
the Independent Championships last week.
In 20 games over the three days, Souza had 121 kills, 74
digs 10 assists, 10 aces and 20 blocks.
Her top match came in a four-game victory against UVSC when
Souza had 29 kills on .274 hitting, five assists, three aces,
18 digs and three blocks.
For her efforts, Souza was also named tournament MVP. Souza
also currently ranks 15th in the nation in kills per game,
with an average of 5.18.
IPFW
finished the season 24-10, and in the latest rankings released
by RichKern.com/AVCA, IPFW has moved up a spot to
13th in the Midwest Region. The Mastodons overall RKPI has
moved nine points to 96. (For
