Mastodons Holding Steady in Regional Rankings

Fort Wayne, IN- For a fourth consecutive week, the IPFW women’s volleyball team holds down #14 in regional rankings just release by RichKern.com/AVCA.

The Mastodons, who stand at 19-9 on the season, will participate in the LaQuinta Division-I Independent Women’s Volleyball Tournament this weekend in Orem, Utah. IPFW was the 2002 Independent Champion, and finished second to Northern Colorado in 2003.

IPFW had its seven game winning streak snapped by Valparaiso (#9 Central Region) this past week. It was the Mastodons longest winning streak of the season. The ‘Dons had also put together two, four-game, winning streaks together during the year.

IPFW will finish out the 2004 campaign with matches against North Dakota State and Northern Colorado on Thursday (11/11), Texas A&M Corpus-Christi and host Utah Valley State on Friday (11/12), and South Dakota State and Texas-Pan American on Saturday (11/12).
