Snaps Streak
Valparaiso,
IN - The top team in the Mid-Con wanted no part of
being IPFW's 20th victim of the 2004 season. Valparaiso raised
its own record to 23-4, with a 3-0 win over the Mastodons,
Wednesday night at the Athletics-Recreation Center.
The Crusaders,
undefeated in Mid-Con play at 11-0, swept the 'Dons 30-22,
30-27, and 30-16. The loss snapped IPFW's seven game winning
streak.
Valpo
took control early in the match, and finished leading just
about every statistical category. The Crusaders out-hit IPFW
.220 to .071, with a kill advantage of 51-34.
On the
defensive side, each team registered 69 digs, but Valpo topped
IPFW in total blocks 9-4.
