Goes 2-0 on Day 1 of CSU Tournament
Cleveland,
OH- Four players registered
double figures in kills for IPFW in downing host Cleveland
State University tonight at the 2003 Medical Mutual CSU Invitational.
The ‘Dons won in four games by the scores of 30-21,
30-19, 31-33, and 30-14.
Fabiana
Souza (16), Janelle Pollard (15) Nicole
Howell (14),
and Kirsta Solberg (11) led a potent IPFW offensive attack
that pounded out 64 kills in the match.
Souza, and Sarah
Leffers, led the defensive effort with 15
and 11 digs respectively.
With the win, IPFW moves to 6-3.
The loss was only the third on the year for Cleveland State
(7-3).
The Mastodons will go for a tournament sweep tomorrow night
against St. Francis (PA) at 7:30pm.
