Have No Treats for Chicago State
Fort
Wayne, IN- On Halloween night, the IPFW women’s volleyball
team treated themselves to a 3-0 win over Chicago State University
at the Gates Center.
The ‘Dons won by the game scores of 31-29, 30-23, and 30-23.
IPFW out-hit the Cougars in the match .295 to .179.
Fabiana
Souza (So/MH/Belo Horizonte, Brazil) led the Mastodons’
attack with 19 kills.
Freshman outside hitter Kristin
Mann (Richmond, IN) had
a nice offensive night with nine kills and a hitting percentage
of .400.
Senior outside hitter Kirsta
Solberg (Huron, OH) led the
defensive effort with 12 digs.
Junior setter Lindi
Bankowski (Temperance, MI) pitched in
with 30 assists.
The Cougar’s Stacy Cole was match-high in kills with twenty.
With the win, IPFW improves to 16-9 and is right back in
action on Sunday (11/2) hosting the University of Wisconsin-Green
Bay at 2pm.
